A Kano-based film actor, director and producer, Aminu A. Shariff (popularly known as Momoh), told Sunday Trust in Abuja that religious leaders should assist film producers in detecting anti-social and anti-religious attitudes in Hausa films so as to avoid conflict between modernity and religion. He said producers were ready to accept inputs in films from traditional and religious experts so as to be able to contribute positively to the socialisation process.

He also said good films could be important avenues in solving societal problems as well as means of informing the people. He said religious leaders could use films is spreading religious values to the people.

The producer also called on various levels of government to help in sanitising the film industry as well as boost it. He said governments should provide credit facilities and other incentives to film producers so that the industry could be made a reliable source of revenue for them while creating employment for the youths.
