Nigerian actor Umar Gombe has been named the first program manager of Northflix Nigeria Limited. The announcement was contained in a statement issued and signed by Northflix’s Executive Officer (CEO) Jamilu Abdulsalam. 

According to him, the company’s wishes and desire to serve as a catalyst in deepening the penetration of Nigerian Hausa films into the global market that is aimed to serve over 100 million native and non-native Hausa speakers across the world.

Moreso, the initiative will make good use of Gombe’s wealth of experience and expertise, to lift the northern entertainment industry to a great height.

 The statement further stated that the company born out of the zeal to project and boost the film making business in the north, had already launched its streaming app, Northflix.ng to curtail the lingering issue of piracy and other vices militating against the progress of the industries across Nigeria and beyond.

“The company is also collaborating with film producing firms like FKD Production, Saira Movies, Dorayi Entertainment, Maishadda Movies, Toka Mcbaror, UK entertainment, Uzee Concept, Rite Time Media among many more to serve you with quality content in areas of documentary, talk show, feature films, skits among other interesting entertainment packages,” it stated.
