Kaltungo Emirate donates relief materials to Borno flood victims

The Mai of Kaltungo, Engineer Saleh Muhammad Umar has provided relief materials to victims of the recent flooding in Borno State.

The Mai of Kaltungo, , who serves as the Coordinator of the Northern Traditional Leaders Committee for the Northeast and Deputy Chairman of the Gombe State Council of Chiefs, presented the relief materials on behalf of the Kaltungo Emirate to His Royal Highness, the Shehu of Borno, Dr Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi, to help alleviate the suffering of those affected by the disaster.

The donated items include 182 blankets, 156 pieces of Atamfa fabric, 50 pieces of Shadda fabric, 5,200 packs of diapers, 60 cups, 24 jerry cans, 24 kettles, 24 basins, and 20 pots in sizes 3 and 5.

Other contributions include 12 smokeless stoves, 12 sets of mortar and pestle, seven bags of grains (corn and millet), 10 mattresses, three cartons of cornflakes, and other essential supplies.

The Mai of Kaltungo personally handed over the relief materials to the Shehu of Borno, who expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the support from the Kaltungo Emirate.

While receiving the items at his palace, the Shehu of Borno commended the Kaltungo Emirate for its generosity, especially during these economically challenging times.

He noted that the aid would greatly benefit the people of Borno, offering his heartfelt thanks on behalf of the Borno Emirate.

He also prayed for continued unity and cooperation between the Kaltungo and Borno emirates.
