Kaffy vows to withdraw child from Chrisland over tragic incidents

Nigerian dance queen, Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau, popularly known by her stage name Kaffy, has vowed to withdraw her child from Chrisland school due to tragic incidents that have happened to students in the school recently.

In a video posted on her verified Instagram page, the entertainer aired her opinion stating in part, “I have to make this video as a mother and a parent. I don’t think anybody in this life would ever pray to lose a child. It is inconsolable because it is grief that you carry forever. There is nothing that can replace it. I am speaking out not just because I am in solidarity with the victim’s mum but also because my kids go there. This is a school that I used to be so proud of and I thrived to put my children there because I believed in the system in the 80s.

“The foundation at which Chrisland was built upon. This is not it. This is one too many and negligence is a consistent situation and not just negligence, it is the aftermath of it that kills me. I do not know all the facts but from what I have heard from the mother, it is a human being. The entire school should be shut down. As I feel right now, my child is not going back to school.

She further stated, “I have thought about it many times in my head as a parent looking at it. My daughter is there and they just had half term, what do I do? Should I allow her to finish the full term and then pull her out of school? I have paid already, does the school do homeschooling for her till I find another school because my child has to leave Chrisland. The position that I am and where God has placed me in this world is not one with a small voice.

“A child is dead and you cannot get the child back. We have dealt with one and we are dealing with another one, it is becoming a consistent pattern where systems are not properly put in place, and it now looks like we need to sacrifice our children before the system needs to be checked. Before molestation has to be checked a child has to be molested, before safety is checked a child has to die.”
