Kafanchan residents panic over suspected Covid-19 case

Residents of Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State have been urged to remain calm and not panic following a rumor of suspected case of corona virus in the area.

The council chairman, Peter Averik, who led a team of Medical Personnel from the Sir Patrick Ibrahim Memorial Hospital Kafanchan to evacuate the two suspects to an isolation centre, lamented the rate at which residents blew the issue out of proportion.

Averik explained that no individual could declare a suspected case positive, except a sample is taken and examined by experts from the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the result shows positive.
