Daily Trust gathered that the KADVS members in the area engaged the bandits in a gun battle after trailing them into the bush. A member of the KADVS in Giwa said it took them three hours to trace the bandits in the bush.
” We traced and engaged them in a fire exchange that killed three of them and we rescued the three kidnapped people. The kidnapped victims were later reunited with their family members,” he said.
It was gathered that the dead bodies were left inside the bush.
