Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has established an eight-member committee for the upcoming 2024 pilgrimage operations in the state.
The governor, during the committee’s inauguration at the government house, expressed gratitude to Sheikh Salisu Abubakar for accepting the role of chairing the 2024 pilgrimage operation.
The Deputy Governor of the state, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, who represented the governor during the inauguration, emphasised the importance of providing a seamless and enriching pilgrimage experience for the people.
The committee is expected to engage only organisations capable of meeting the standards, ensuring accommodation in Mecca meets the required bed capacity and proximity to the Kaaba.
The governor highlighted the importance of standard feeding, proper implementation of hadya services, and efficient transportation as essential components of a successful pilgrimage.
Governor Uba Sani anticipates a comprehensive report from the committee detailing findings, recommendations, and any operational challenges encountered.
