The Railway Property Management Company (RPMC) Limited, Kaduna, has renovated the Railway Divisional Police Station, Kaduna Junction.

RPMC also donated computers, a generator and office equipment to the police station with a view to improving security in the area.

Presenting the items to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), the Managing Director (MD) of RPMC, Timothy Zalanga, said the gesture was to support the police in providing security.

Zalanga further said, “There is nothing too small or too big in assisting the police to perform their function, especially when you look at where they use as an office, and even the office equipment.

“RPMC had wanted to renovate the entire premises of the police station and give it a facelift, but it was not possible because of the economic meltdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Commenting on the moribund Kaduna Railway Junction, Zalanga assured that activities would soon pick up when the Lagos-Kano rail line was completed, adding that the Ibadan-Kano line – which is to pass through Kaduna when connected – would spur economic activities in the area.

The DPO of the station, Victor Alamagandi, thanked RPMC for renovating the office and donating the items, saying it would go a long way in supporting administrative operations.
