Kaduna Police deactivate bomb in another hotel

The Kaduna Police Command has confirmed that another bomb was safely detonated at Romi axis in Chikun Local Government Area.

This comes 48 hours after a bomb exploded at a hotel in Kabala Community of the state on Sunday night. This was contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Muhammed Jalige issued on Tuesday.

According to him, at about 11:30 pm the Command also received information about another suspected IED placed at Larry Breeze Bar located at Romi area of Chikun LGA, of the State where a crowd of football enthusiasts were watching a match.

“On the strength of the information, logistics and men were immediately mobilized to cordon the entire location while the EOD unit acted promptly in diffusing the said IED,” he said.

Jalige said that the CP urged law-abiding citizens of the state to go about their normal businesses as there is no cause for alarm.

“Investigation into the two separate incidents has since commenced to unravelling those behind the crime,” it concluded.
