Police in Kaduna have confirmed five people were killed on Saturday by a gang of unknown persons in Sabon Sara village in Giwa local government area of the state.
Public Relations Officer, DSP Yakubu Sabo said 10 others were injured, and one of them later died in hospital.
He further noted that three of the victims have been treated and discharged while the remaining six victims are receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
According to him, “During the attack, the villagers mobilised themselves to resist the attack and they succeeded in killing one of the bandits.
“A team of policemen from the 47PMF Zaria with Armour Personnel Carrier (APC) vehicle was mobilised to the scene but met the culprits have left the scene. ”
He assured that efforts are being made to apprehend the culprits and bring them to justice.
