Kaduna oldest market reopens after 3 years

After a three-year reconstruction, Kaduna State’s historic market, Kasuwar Barci, located in Tudun Wada of Kaduna South LGA has reopened for business.

Formerly demolished by Governor Nasir El-Rufai for modernisation, the market faced challenges as traders lost shops and capital and despite the reconstruction, high shop rates deterred some from returning.

Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government Area, Kabiru Yakubu Jarimi, encouraged traders to reclaim their shops.
