The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) in collaboration with Zoom Lion Global Alliance will being door-to-door collection of waste and revenue by November 27, nearly a year after its launch.
This was disclosed by the Chief Executive Officer of ZL Global Alliance, Biola Bashorun during a walk to sensitize residents on the enforcement of door to door waste and revenue collection.
ZL Global Alliance is a company engaged by the state government to manage waste in Kaduna, Kafanchan and Zaria.
According to Biola, the exercise which she said was going on simultaneously at the three senatorial districts of the state seeks to sensitize residents on the door to door waste and revenue collection ahead of the enforcement day.
Biola who was represented by the company’s head of operations, Mrs. Kate Ogenyi, said, “We are starting with high-brow areas like commercial centre where banks, hospitals, schools, filling stations, markets are located as well as GRAs and residentials.”
She however made known that no private organization or individual is permitted to collect any level or fee on behalf of the state government apart from the contractor ZL Global Alliance and KADIRS.
But cash payment is not allowed. All payments are to be made to a joint KADIRS and ZL account, via ATM or POS, said Mahmud Nuhu, of KADIRS.
