A new set of executive officers has been inaugurated to lead the Al-Mizan Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna Council.
After a consensus was reached, Abdullahi Usman Tumburkai of Dillaliya newspaper under the Al-Mizan Chapel emerged as Chairman while Malam Bello Hamza of Pointer Express newspaper emerged as Vice Chairman.
Abdulmumin Giwa also of Pointer Express emerged as Secretary of the chapel with Mukhtar Zailani as his Assistant while Aliyu Sale of Al-Mizan emerged as the Treasurer.
Other exco members are Abdullahi Ricifa and Ammar Rajab both of Al-Mizan newspaper as Auditor and Financial Secretary respectively.
Shortly before their inauguration, the representative of the NUJ, Kaduna State Council and also its financial secretary, John Femi Adi congratulated the new executivs, describing the Al-Mizan chapel as a peaceful one.
Femi called on the chapel to support the NUJ by participating actively in the State Executive Council activities as well as imbibing the culture of unity and oneness of the union.
The newly inaugurated chairman of the Al-Mizan chapel, Abdullahi Tumburkai, expressed gratitude for the support by the state council and promised to continue to support the NUJ.
