The Tum Nikyop I, the traditional ruler of Kaninkon chiefdom, Malam Tanko Tete in Kaduna State, has tasked students of the Kafanchan Campus of Kaduna State University (KASU) to serve as good ambassadors of the institution both in character and academics.
Malam Tanko Tete also challenged the students to focus on their studies so as to be productive members of the society after graduation from school.
Speaking while receiving students from the Association of Quantity Surveyors, KASU chapter, during a courtesy visit to his palace in Ungwan Fari, Kaninkon, the monarch also appealed to the Kaduna State government to support the campus with the needed facilities that would improve the quality of education in the school.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation and president of the association, Ebeneza Jock, said they were at the palace to seek fatherly blessings and guidance from the paramount ruler.
While presenting him with a plague as a symbol of his contribution to the growth and development of the school, the association commended the Tum Nikyop for championing the cause of peace in his domain which they noted has created a conducive atmosphere for learning.
