Kaduna killings: OPSH arrests suspected bandits, recovers arms

Personnel of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) maintaining peace in Plateau and some parts of Bauchi and Southern Kaduna have arrested eight bandits suspected to have been carrying out attacks in villages of southern Kaduna.

One other suspect was said to have been killed during the operation.

Many people were reportedly killed in several attacks recently perpetrated by suspected bandits in some local government areas of Southern Kaduna.

The Commander Sector 7 of the operation in Southern Kaduna, Colonel David Nwakonobi, who paraded the suspects in Kafanchan Local Government Area of the state said the arrest followed receipt of credible intelligence by the operation.

“In a related development, our troops in conjunction with members of vigilante group apprehended two other suspects at Chawai, a community on the fringes of Kauru and Zangon Kataf LGAs of Kaduna State,” he added.
