Kaduna governorship tribunal inaugurated

The Kaduna state Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has been inaugurated.

The tribunal, which was inaugurated on Monday at Kaduna High Court along Ibrahim Taiwo road, would hear the petition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the last general elections challenging the declaration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, as the winner of the election.

The tribunal has Justice I. M. Bako as chairman while Hon Khadi Adamu Usman and Hon Justice Jude Obiora are to serve as members.

The hearing on the case filed by the PDP governorship candidate in the last general election, Isa Ashiru, has been slated for Tuesday.
