Kaduna community schools get ICT support

Three schools in the Kakuri, Kaduna South Local Government Area, have been supported with Information Communication Technology (ICT) tools. 

The benefiting schools are Government Day Secondary School (GDSS), Army Children School (ACS) and LEA School, Down Quarters. 

Daily Trust reports that the support was provided by the Kaduna Inland Dry Port (KIDP) as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Presenting the items which included nine desktop computers, the Port Manager, Mr Rotimi Hassan, said the gesture was to support the communities close to the port which have been very supportive. 

He noted that the items would also complement the state government’s efforts in advancing the educational sector, especially ICT.  

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Industrial Development, Mr Kabir Mato, who was represented by the Director, Business and Industrial Development, Musa Jibril, urged the benefiting schools to leverage on the gesture and use the computers for the purpose they were meant.
