The Kaduna Golf Club hosted and won the 2019 Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Open Downstream Golf Tournament which ended on Saturday.
The two-day tournament, saw Ahmed Bawa of the host club with a play of 66 Nett emerging overall winner while Iveren Achir also of Kaduna Golf Club claiming the top spot for the ladies with 85 Gross over two days.
Best Gross Men went to Andrew Chechet with 76 Gross after a count back on Raymond Yaki.
Best Nett of the male category went to Mr. Gambo Peter 68 Nett, Runner Up Nett was claimed by Raymond Yaki 71 Nett, while Linus Ishaya settled for Second Runner Up Nett.
In the female category, Best Nett went to Bola Mustapha (73 Nett) after count back on Adaugo Martins (73 Nett) and Suzan Marcus also (73 Nett) to settle for
Runner up and Second Runner up Nett respectively.
Miss Lizzy Samuel won the Longest Drive in the Kaduna Golf Club Guests Category while Longest Drive Men, went to Saturday Otubor while Longest Drive NNPC Staff Men was won by Alexander Peter Aku.
Captain of the Kaduna Golf Club, Idris Sae’ed commended both the sponsors and participants at the event saying the tournament was made possible by their contributions.
“We started and we are closing without any incidents. We want to thank the management of all the sponsors under the banner of NNPC,” he said.
Chief Operations Officer (COO), Downstream of NNPC, Engineer Luke Anele in his remark said the NNPC is pleased with the organization and success of the tournament.
He urged the management of the Kaduna Gold Club to maintain its high standard.
