Kaduna business mogul, Bako Zuntu, is dead

A renowned business mogul and a philanthropist in Zaria, Kaduna State, Alhaji Usman Bako Zuntu, is dead.

A family source said Zuntu died at the age of 84, after protracted illness at Al-madina Hospital, GRA, Zaria in the early hours of Friday.

Born in 1939 in Zuntu, Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Zuntu had been a resident of Magume, Tudun wada Zaria and was an employer of labour.

He was a large scale farmer who used his wealth in assisting the underprivileged people in the society.

Untill his death, he was a contractor and a major dealer in essential commodities with PZ Nigeria plc.

According to the family source, he is survived by two wives, 26 children and many grandchildren.
