Kaduna: Bandits kill 2, abduct scores watching champions league match

Gunmen, on Wednesday night, attacked Idah, a community under Kagarko LGA in Kaduna State, killing two people, and abducting scores watching champions league match between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Idah is located along a federal highway that links Bwari town in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, and Jere town in Kaduna State.

The chief of the community, Danlami Jaye, told City & Crime that Yaro Agayi and one Samuel, a mechanic, were killed by the bandits when they attempted to escape.

He said the kidnappers arrived the community around 9 pm and headed straight to a viewing centre close to the village market.

He said, “There were about 100 people watching a football match in the centre and about half of them were abducted by the kidnappers. The two deceased were among the people that attempted to escape.’’

City & Crime further learnt that four family members were also abducted from their compound behind the viewing centre.

Two of them were, however, freed on their way to the bush.

The Public Relations Officer of the state police command, ASP Mansur Hassan, did not respond to the text message sent to him on the incident.
