Kaduna Assembly to investigate report on speaker’s impeachment

Daily Trust had reported that security was stepped up on Tuesday around the Kaduna State Government House and the House of Assembly following an alleged plot to impeach some principal officers, including the speaker.
The motion for the investigation was moved by the member representing Zonkwa, Kantiok Irimiya Ishaku and seconded by Ahmad Hassan Juma’are, representing Makarfi.
 Ishaku prayed that a committee be set up to investigate the matter so that the “negative report” can be addressed.  In their contributions, members expressed anger over the report.
