Two lawmakers have been suspended from the Kaduna state assembly for indulging in acts thought capable of destabilising the assembly’s activities.
Angulu Kwasau, representing Zango Kataf constituency and Bitiyong Yakubu Nkom, of Kaura constituency, were asked to leave the chamber but refused, insisting to know their office.
Mukhtar Hazo, representing Basawa mentioned as a “matter of public importance” that both men be suspended, and was seconded by Aliyu Haruna representing Kawo constituency.
After the speaker, Aminu Shagali, who presided over the sitting asked the two members to walk out, they refused.
The sergeant at arms were also asked to walk the said members out, yet they refused.
Shagali however adjourned the sitting to tomorrow while the suspended members said they will get back to the press.
