The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Friday evening, suspended Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi and 28 from the party.
The party announced the suspension after an emergency State Executive Committee meeting at the party’s state secretariat, which ended around 7pm on Friday.
Acting state secretary, Yahaya Baba Pate said Hunkuyi was suspended for six months for anti party activities while Major Yahaya Shinko and 27 others were expelled for taking the party to court.
The acting secretary said Senator Hunkuyi was suspended for roles in floating a parallel office of the party in the state.
He said the SEC also agreed on a time-table of its activities ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.
“By Monday we will make the time-table available to you members of press,” he added.
Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Architect Barnabas Bala Bantex was at the meeting with other chieftains of the party in Kaduna as well as members of the House of Representatives and House of Assembly members.
The meetings lasted for over two hours.
