Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has yet to appoint commissioners to serve in his administration, more than a month after his inauguration.
Concerns have arisen among members of his party and loyalists due to the delay in these appointments.
Since his inauguration on May 29, only a few appointments have been made, including the Secretary to the Government (SSG), Chief of Staff, Senior Special Assistants, and Advisers.
A member of the governor’s campaign team expressed anticipation for the announcement of the commissioners.
However, they expressed hope that those who held the same positions in the previous administration would not be reappointed.
Another party member, who requested anonymity, emphasised the need for Governor Sani to release the names of other cabinet members promptly. They pointed out that other states have already made significant progress in forming their cabinets.
Other party members felt sidelined after supporting the party to victory.
However, Dahiru Ahmed, Governor Uba Sani’s Senior Special Assistant on Electronic Media, appeared on the Liberty Radio program to appeal for calm while reacting to questions.
He assured the public that the governor is working diligently to appoint individuals with integrity and patriotism, who will contribute to the development of the state.
