Daily Trust had reported how the deceased and his family members were attacked on their way to their farm at a place called Gonar Lema on Saturday.
It was reported that 17 members of his family were whisked away to an unknown destination during the attack.
His uncle, Malam Umaru told Daily Trust that Omega was buried at a Christian cemetery around 10 am on Monday at Udawa village.
“He died around 3 am in Birnin Gwari where he was receiving treatment and we brought him back home to Udawa and buried him around 10 am,” he said.
Daily Trust gathered that late Omega’s sisters, Baby Yakubu and Blessing Yakubu, were seriously injured and are being attended to at Birnin-Gwari.
The injured, excluding their father, Yakubu Gurmi, were earlier rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Kaduna, before they were brought back to Birnin Gwari because the family could not afford the hospital bills.
So far, there was no news of the remaining family members among them a nursing mother and her infant that was whisked away by the gunmen.
Meanwhile, the state Police Command spokesman, ASP Mohammed Jalige, did not pick calls to his phone while the state government has not made any official statement at the time of filing this report.
