The House of Representatives member representing Kaduna-South, Mukhtar Ahmad Monrovia, has disclosed that, Kaduna Polytechnic in need of more academic facilities to maintain its status.
He disclosed this after receiving a letter of commendation from the management of the polytechnic over his contributions to the institution including the building of laboratories and workshops.
Monrovia noted that the institution had produced graduates that have impacted positively on the socioeconomic development of Nigeria.
The lawmaker, therefore, said as one of the foremost institutions in the north, it needed interventions that would help it maintain its position as a center of knowledge and innovation.
He promised to work with all stakeholders in Kaduna State and beyond to help the institution get access to more facilities and structures to provide effective teaching and learning environment.
The letter signed by the Rector, Professor I.M. Bugaje, was presented to him by the Bursar, Garba Nabayi, and Special Assistant to the Rector, Mallam Bala Aliyu, at his office in Abuja.
The management of the polytechnic commended the lawmaker for actualising the building of the Center of Technology Development Laboratories in the main campus as well as Workshop and Material Testing Laboratory in Panteka.
