The Kaduna Polytechnic has begun a maiden National Skills Qualification (NSQ) programme for 70 artisans.
The artisans will undergo necessary training leading to their certification in welding and fabrication, plumbing installation, carpentry and joinery, masonry, electrical installation, tiling and decorations; stone works and painting and decorations.

Flagging off the programme yesterday, Governor Nasiru El-Rufai expressed delight that Kaduna Polytechnic is bringing to life the NSQ programme, which is the prime objective of the Nigerian skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) that was approved by the Federal Executive Council since 2017.
El-Rufai was represented by the commissioner, Kaduna State Ministry for Business and Innovation Technology, Idris Nyam.
