Out of the over 20,000 applicants for admission into Kaduna Polytechnic, only 11,608 got placement and matriculated for the 2017/2018 academic session.
Speaking at the matriculation ceremony, the rector of the Polytechnic, Professor Idris M. Bugaje, charged the newly admitted students on academic excellence; urging them to set high academic and moral standards for themselves.
“Your aim should be to graduate with good grades. Other students before you who kept focused on the path leading to their dream have been successful,” he said.
On the provision of utilities, Prof. Bugaje assured them that the Polytechnic has put in place machineries that would ensure a comfortable life for students including hostel accommodation, inter-campus transportation, library and sporting facilities, among others.
