The Seria A champions may decide to re-sign him in the winter window as Andrea Pirlo is looking to bolster his attacking force.

The former Real Madrid midfielder is said to be in talks with the Toffees, reports the Daily Mail.

The German international was previously linked with a move to Merseyside and now appears to be one step closer to sealing a switch.
