Justice Musdapher: CJN Onnoghen directs flags at half mast

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen has directed that all national flags in the premises of the Supreme Court be flown at half mast.

 
The CJN also directed that the flag in official residence of CJN at the Three Arms Zone of Abuja, the National Judicial Institute (NJI), Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC), and National Judicial Council (NJC) and courts of record across the federation to be flown at half-mast.
 
In a statement signed on Tuesday by the spokesman of the CJN, Awassam Bassey, the directive is in honour of former CJN, Justice Dahiru Musdapher, who served between 29th August 2011 and 16th July 2012.

Justice Dahiru Musdapher, CFR passed away in a London Hospital on Monday, according to family sources.
 
"The National Judicial Service Council was directed to send memos to all Heads of Courts to ensure compliance by all jurisdictions across the country.
 
"The Hon. Chief Justice prays for the peaceful repose of Justice Musdapher and urges God," the statement reads.
