A fuel tanker has exploded in the upper Iweka area of Onitsha, Anambra State on Friday.
According to an eyewitness, the fire explosion happened when a petrol tanker loaded with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) sparked off a fire at the popular Upper Iweka junction of the commercial hub.

Daily Trust gathered that the incident occurred around 8:30 am in front of the Relief market and burnt many shops and buildings around the scene.
Our source said the incident was caused by the articulated truck, which broke down at the bad portion of the ever-busy Onitsha-Owerri expressway.
