Barely 24 hours after the former emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi met with Governor Nasir El’rufai, Sultan of Sokoto HRH Sa’ad Abubakar III has also visited the governor.
The Sultan arrived the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House around 12:20 pm on Monday in a black SUV.

He was received by the Secretary to the state Government, Balarabe Abbas, Chief of Staff Muhammad Sani Dattijo, State Commissioner Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.
The Kaduna state commissioner Local Government and Chieftaincy Affair Jafaru Sani Ibrahim was also part of the officials that received the Sultan.
Daily Trust reported how thousands thronged to welcome the former Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi on Sunday who was in the state to meet with the state government.
Details of the Sultan’s visit to the government house were not made available yet, but he was ushered into the building to meet with Governor Nasir El-Rufai in his personal office.
