Coach Ibrahim Musa was, on Monday, reinstated as the Technical Adviser of Kano Pillars football club for the 2018/2019 Nigeria Professional Football League.
It will be recalled that the management of the club had asked the gaffer to step aside after the 2018 Aiteo Federation Cup final debacle which saw Enugu Rangers come from 0-3 to snatch victory from kano Pillars on penalties.
In his place, the team’s Head Coach Baleria was asked to act pending the appointment of a substantive Technical Adviser.
However, in a surprise twist, the management of the club, on Monday, announced Musa as the substantive Technical Adviser of the club for the current season.
He has been charged to ensure Pillars top group B in the abridged 2018/2029 NPFL season to qualify for the playoff and also win this year’s NFF Aiteo Cup.
In his response, the coach said he was elated by his appointment and would do everything humanly possible to justify the confidence reposed in him by the government and management of Kano Pillars.
He said he would ensure that genuine peace prevails between the players and the technical crew for the good of kano Pillars.
“I want to thank almighty Allah, the government and people of Kano State as well as the management of Kano Pillars football club for this opportunity to continue as the Technical Adviser of this club.
“I am honoured and I promise to take Kano Pillars higher. To achieve this I will ensure there is greater understanding and peace in the club.
“I will be more friendly and open to my players. I want to ask for forgiveness from those I offended and I have since forgiven those who offended me.
“Together we can take Kano Pillars to the next level. Our target remains the league title and the 2019 Aiteo Cup,” he stated.
