Gunmen have abducted Charles Mato Dakat, the paramount ruler of Gindiri town in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Daily Trust reports that the traditional ruler was abducted after sporadic gunshots at his residence in the early hours of Sunday.

Major Ishaku Takwa, the spokesman of the Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), a multi-security taskforce, maintaining peace in the state, confirmed the development.
He said troops have been mobilised to the area and have been on trail of the kidnappers.
