Former Katsina State Deputy Governor, Abdullahi Garba Faskari, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, saying it will be a great dishonour to himself and Katsina people to allow a “Kano” man to emerged as governor of Katsina State.
Faskari, who disclosed this during his formal announcement of leaving the party, said “enough is enough of the unending hypocrisy in the PDP.”
He said everyday, the governor candidate comes from Kano to attend to issues in Kastina and return, saying that “this cannot be a desired persons that we need to lead us here in Katsina”
“Allowing Lado to become governor is amounting to Katsina State having two governors being one in Kano and another in Katsina,” he added.
According to him, the flag bearer of the PDP Sen Yakubu Lado cannot be the best compared to the APC’s Aminu Masari, saying that “I have resigned my membership of the PDP and don’t have a party yet”
He said the PDP had not been fair and just to them since the mock election that was held, where all the agreed terms were violated that saw the emergence of Lado as candidate of the party”
Faskari, who was deputy governor during Shehu Shema’s tenure, was however silence on his next move but all indication showed that he will soon pitch tent with the APC.
