JUST IN: Dino Melaye whisked away from hospital by masked officers

The Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye has been whisked away from the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

According to sources, the senator was taken away by masked police operatives who had stormed the hospital.

Witnesses said the officers forced the lawmaker into an unmarked vehicle and drove him to an undisclosed location.

Dino Melaye was arrested last week after police laid siege on his home in Maitama, Abuja, for eight days.

Police accuse the senator of being involved in the shooting of an officer in Kogi State.
