President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Sunday Adeyemi Adepoju as the new Postmaster General/Chief Executive Officer (PMG), for the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST).
The announcement was made in a statement signed by Uwa Suleiman, the media aide to the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami.

Suleiman said Adepoju’s appointment was followed by the recommendations made by Pantami.
The new Postmaster General of NIPOST is appointed for an initial term of five (5) years.
“Hon. Adepoju is a professional accountant and a former member of the Federal House of Representatives from 2011 – 2015 and 2015 – 2019, representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency”, the statement said.
It said the appointment of Adepoju as the new PMG of NIPOST is with immediate effect.
The immediate past PMG Dr Ismail Adewusi was sacked by Buhari on the allegations of financial misappropriation.
