Members of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have commenced its emergency meeting, Daily Trust reports.
The closed-door meeting, which started at 12:42 pm on Monday, is currently holding at the National Secretariat of the union located on the University of Abuja campus.

The meeting, which was being presided over by the president of the union, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, would address issues of “half salary” paid to lecturers in October.
A member of the National Executive Council, who spoke to Daily Trust anonymously said other issues will be addressed and communicated to the media accordingly.
