The Nigerian Army on Tuesday redeployed Brig-Gen Sagir Musa, who has been serving as its acting spokesperson, to the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Minna, Niger State.
Musa, who took charge of the information unit of the Nigerian Army since the exit of Brig. General Kukasheka Usman, was, however, replaced with a one-time director, Army Public Relations of the NA, Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Yerima.

It was gathered that the ongoing shake-up being carried out by the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff, Maj-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, will affect some other top military officers at Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
Though there is no official statement on the appointment yet but a top military personnel told our correspondent that the COAS said it was expedient to reposition the information units of Nigerian Army.
Yerima, before his new appointment was at the PR unit of Defence Headquarters, Abuja. He had also served in various military formations.
He obtained a B.A. (Ed) Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University before he enrolled into the Nigerian Army in October 1989 and was commissioned into the corps of Army Public Relations.
Yerima was the ADC to Commander TRADOC, Major-General Ishola William between 1990-1993; Public Relations Officer NAOWA in the Office of Chief of Army Staff 1994; Spokesperson 81 Division of the Nigerian Army 1995-1996; PRO Nigerian Defence Academy 1996-2000; Military Spokesperson United Nation Mission in Sierra Leone 2000-2002 and PRO to Chief of Army Staff 2003.
Other previous positions he held were PRO, Chief of Defence Staff 2005; Deputy Director Public Relation 1 of Nigerian Army 2008 (Chief of Staff and Coordinator at Directorate of Army Public Relations 2007-2009 and Director Defence Information in 2009 to 2013.
