Jos rally: Atiku mourns crash victims, orders support for injured

Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the February 16 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has condoled with the families of Mrs Christy Yelick Dungtou and Mr Donatus Morkwap who died  in a motor accident while returning from the party’s campaign rally held Saturday, in Jos.

Atiku in a statement by his special adviser on Media, Paul Ibe, also ordered his campaign organisation to use available  resources to ensure those receiving medical attention in the hospital were well taken care of.

Atiku instructed that the campaign team takes care of the burial cost of the deceased, adding it has been confirmed their remains had been deposited at the mortuary in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State.

“Mrs Dungtou died at the scene of the accident while Morkwap passed away as he was being conveyed to General Hospital, Barkin-Ladi.

“Mr Kwalmi Julius, one of the injured whose condition is critical is receiving treatment at the Plateau Hospital, Jos while the other two have been referred to Shendam,” according to the statement.
