Insecurity is becoming negligent and miserable every second in Nigeria. Unjustifiable killings, acts of banditry, kidnapping for ransom, high rate of unemployment among the youths, rape, and all forms of criminality have become rampant.
In 2021, 22 people were killed and 14 injured during an attack on travellers in Gada-biyu, in the northern part of the State by a group of youth along Rukuba road. The trailers were in a convoy of five buses and were travelling from Bauchi State to Ikare in Ondo State after an ending Annual Islamic Zikr prayer in Bauchi State when they were attacked and killed by the hoodlums.
- Kwankwaso, ministers, others storm Kano as AGF Idris marries off daughter
- Jos North and need to avert crises
I am appealing to the government at the federal and state levels to stop the reoccurrence of these attacks (terrorism) of the travellers and commuters and the insecurity in Jos North and Plateau State at large.
Lastly, the government should arrest the perpetrators and punish them according to law and empower the security agents with more arms to fight insecurity in the country.
God bless Nigeria.
