Plateau State Government, at the weekend, paid a condolence visit and returned to Ondo State the survivors of the deadly attacked on the convoy of Ondo State residents on 14th August, along Rukuba Road, Jos North, Plateau State.
The Plateau State Government team was led by the Deputy Governor, Professor Sonni Tyoden, and other high profile government officials with some traditional rulers from the state and other southwest states.

The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and some other top government functionaries received the survivors on behalf of Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, at the Governor Office, Akure.
Plateau State Deputy Governor appealed to the government of Ondo State and the bereaved families to be consoled by the fact that the victims died while serving God.
“Our Governor, express deep pain over the deaths.
“It was a shock to us, very unfortunate and highly regrettable.
“This is a very painful act, we totally regret the loss of our beloved citizens who were murdered,” Professor Tyoden said.
The South-West zonal Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Mohammed Kabir Ladar, said the incident was unfortunate.
While receiving the survivors, the Ondo State Deputy Governor condemned the killings, saying it was provocative, unwarranted and condemnable.
“Coming to our State with the survivors of the attacks is a demonstration of the love existing between the two States.
“The quick response from the government of Plateau State was what bring about the survivors,
“As we are mourning, we need to also thank God for the survivors,” he further said.
“On behalf of the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, we sincerely thank Plateau State Government for the lesson of their love,” Aiyedatiwa said.
Aiyedatiwa, therefore, challenged the authorities concerned to identify and prosecute the perpetrators of the killings.
