The management of Jos Electricity Distribution (JED), has called on customers in their franchise states of Bauchi, Benue, Gombe and Plateau to help in the fight against energy theft and vandalism.

Banajada disclosed that apart from the activities of vandals, energy theft remained the worst challenge bedevilling the company.
He said JED loses billions of naira on monthly basis due to the nefarious activities of energy thieves and vandals across the franchise states.
“I call on community leaders not to remain adamant and complacent in the fight against energy theft and vandals. If facilities are destroyed, the company and communities suffer,” he said.
“The community will be in darkness until what was vandalised is replaced because and JED has zero budget for vandalised items.”
