The management of Jos Electricity Distribution Plc has explained that low generation capacity was behind the recent power outages in its franchise states.
The franchise states of the Disco include Plateau, Benue, Bauchi and Gombe.
A statement by the spokesperson of the cooperation, Dr Elijah Friday, said “We wish to inform you that the incessant power outages we are experiencing these days is as a result of low generation capacity and tripping on some of the available generators from the generating stations.

“This has led to a lot of load shedding from the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to maintain the system frequency and avoid the power grid network from collapsing.
“As soon as the power generation improves, you are going to experience stable power supply.”
