Jos crisis: Victims receive relief material

The Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government, Shehu Bala Usman, has donated relief material to the victims of  attacks in Yelwa Zangam in the LGA.

The community was recently attacked leaving about 37 people dead.

The gesture, according to the chairman, was part of his administration’s social responsibility to alleviate the plight of victims of the recent attacks on the community.

The chairman, who was represented by the Supervisory Councillor for Social Services, Peter Kaze,  said he was deeply disturbed by the incident, adding that his administration would do everything possible to prevent a reoccurrence of such act.

Receiving the items on behalf of his community, the community leader of Yelwa Zangam, Ajida Isa, thanked the chairman for identifying with them in their moment of grief and pledged to distribute the items judiciously.
