They said the development came as a surprise because they never expected it so soon.

The communities said the construction of the road and the bridge was historic, adding that when completed, they would bring development to the area.
Malam Zubairu Shehu, a resident of Unguwan Rogo, said the affected communities would forever live to remember Governor Lalong for coming to their aid, explaining that since the return of democracy in 1999, no governor has ever looked at the road.
He called on the people of the area to cooperate with the contractor to ensure completion of the projects.
“Aside from developing the area, it would also serve as an alternative road to Jos residents. It is a great development to everyone because the road would not only be beneficial to the affected communities, but people across the city would equally benefit.”
He further called on residents of the affected areas to ensure proper maintenance and utilisation of the road, hoping the government would complete the project within the said period.
