Residents of Bulbula in Jos North LGA of Plateau State have decried the vandalism of a bridge that links their community with other communities.
The residents said they reported the issue to the chairman of Jos North LGA on the need to take stringent measures but to no avail.

The bridge, popularly known as Gadar Sogai, was constructed in 1975 and links various communities.
The residents, who noted that the collapse of the bridge would lead to a catastrophe as thousands of people went through it every day for their daily activities.
They said vandals, especially youths, removed iron rods from the pillars of the bridge which made it weak and subsequently collapsed.
The Ward Head of Bulbula, Umar Yakubu, while lamenting on the condition of the bridge, blamed the Jos North LGA authorities for their lackadaisical attitude towards the repair of the bridge.
