President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is leading in Taraba State going by the Presidential results of 13 out of 16 local government areas so far released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The results released so far showed that President Jonathan is leading with aggregated votes of 247,827 from across six local government areas while Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) is following with 227,563 votes from across seven local government areas.
The results released so far include: Jalingo (APC-40,400 and PDP-18,922); Yorro ( APC-7,050 and PDP-16,908); Ibi (APC-12,970 and PDP 3,221); Sardauna ( APC-26,982 PDP-20,462); Lau (APC-12,588 and PDP-31,419); Karim Lamido (APC-20,998 and PDP-31,419) and Gashaka (APC-8,972 and PDP-5,500).
Others include Wukari (APC-11,875 and PDP-64,610); Bali (APC-20,269 and PDP-12,276); ArdoKola (APC-13,653 and PDP 12,034); Kurmi (APC-2,763 and PDP-13,011); Zing (APC-5,617 and PDP-23,045) and Gassol (APC-43,426 and PDP-8,169).
Meanwhile, results are still being awaited from three local government areas of Takum, Donga and Ussa which are believed to be strongholds of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.
