The coordinator of the team, James Bature, at the weekend called on members of the National Assembly to discountenance with the calls for impeachment of the president, describing the move as selfish and parochial.
He said: “President Goodluck Jonathan has succeeded in improving the power generation in the country, commissioned some of the power projects in parts of the country and resuscitated the moribund railway system across the nation, including the laying of new tracks”.
Bature said voting Jonathan for additional four years did not mean he would remain in power for life but just another second term of four years term.
He also said “recent developments in the country require urgent solution by the entire citizens in forgiving one another as well as bringing together  of participating political parties in the present dispensation with the view to restore genuine peace and stability in the polity.
“Although President Goodluck Jonathan has not said he is re-contesting for Presidency in 2015 general elections, people are already castigating him, forgetting the fact that at the initial stage, Jonathan did not want to be President. It was the work of God that brought him and he has been shouldering responsibilities that he inherited from the previous administrations and those that are not directly linked to him,” Bature said.
