Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson yesterday announced the appointment of former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, as an honorary special adviser of the state’s Education Development Trust Fund (EDTF).
Dickson made the announcement at the official launch of the fund in Yenagoa, the state capital.
He said the former Nigerian leader would take charge and supervise the collection of donations for the trust fund.

According to him, Dr. Jonathan’s strides during his time as governor of Bayelsa State laid the solid foundation for its educational system. Accepting the appointment, Jonathan promised to do his best to persuade all Bayelsans to support the education trust fund.
